Can a normal person go to NASA
While private citizens have become increasingly interested in space travel, NASA is not yet comfortable allowing them to travel to the International Space Station on their own. Instead, the agency wants them to be chaperoned by experienced professionals. This is likely due to concerns about safety and liability. However, it may also be due to a desire to keep the International Space Station from becoming a tourist destination. Ultimately, NASA will need to decide whether the benefits of private citizen involvement in space exploration outweigh the risks.
