It is interesting to note that, to date, there is no population on the moon. The moon has been visited multiple times, but so far, no one has been able to establish a permanent presence there. How long would it take to get to Mars?
The spacecraft is traveling at a speed of about 24,600 mph, which is about 39,600 kph. The trip to Mars will take about seven months and about 300 million miles, which is 480 million kilometers.
The International Space Station orbits the Earth at speeds of approximately 17,000 miles per hour. This is considerably faster than the Earth rotates on its axis. Therefore, the solar day on the ISS is considerably shorter than the Earth day at just over 90 minutes in duration.
